Alacare Hospice Volunteers Complete the Circle of Care

Donating time and talent, volunteers have a significant impact on hospice patients' (and their families') quality of life. Volunteers become part of the hospice care team providing companionship and assistance to patients and family caregivers.

In addition, volunteers provide clerical support to the branch offices.

Alacare Hospice Volunteer Opportunities:

• Visiting

• Writing letters and sending cards

• Telephone calls to say "hello"

• Reading to patients

• Preparing light meals or snacks

• Light housekeeping

• Errands

Administrative Support Service Opportunities:

• Clerical work

• Data entry

• Calling patients
