In addition, patients do not have to be homebound to be admitted to hospice. Alacare Hospice wants all patients to remain as active as their condition permits.
Cost
Hospice care is covered by most insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. If insurance coverage is not available or is insufficient, the patient and the family can elect to pay for services out of pocket. For patients with limited or no financial resources, Alacare may provide hospice services without charge.
